Dunetop Residence

This untraditional home on Lake Michigan is as fun and unique as its owners. The design, a modern twist on French country, is defined by the simple, elegant exterior that’s contrasted by the dark, multi-paned windows and prominent double gable rooflines.

A wide feature fireplace, large stone entry court, and metal awnings over windows are a few of the details lend themselves toward a European style. The swooped front entry is charming and inviting for all to come in and view through out to the lake beyond.   Main spaces capitalize on the lake views; oversized window seating is provided for sunset viewing.  The kitchen, living, and dining rooms are continuous and open to each other, offering comfortable space to entertain groups of friends but also host cozy retreats.  Provided are a number of outdoor seating options, for the home owners to enjoy depending on the type of activity, size of group, and time of day in which the lake views will be enjoyed.  The upper level of the home hosts the master suite.  It was given ample space,  complete with a large deck for evening reading.

Steel Framing.

Hidden steel bracing within the walls allows for large expanses of glass and uninhibited views of Lake Michigan, counteracting the strong winds off the lake.
